Jordan's 2010 debut at Toledo Speedway20Apr2010Source: ..
The #99 of Jordan Sims was a very fast car at the ASA North Series inaugural event of 2010 at the Toledo Speedway. During the two practice sessions on Friday, he was 4th and 5th fastest only 2 tenths off the fastest time. On Saturday, the car was unbelievably quick right off the trailer. Jordan posted his fastest lap time of the weekend in his first five laps on the track. A brake problem plagued the team for the rest of the practice session and Jordan never got to push the car to its limits. As qualifying came around, Jordan and the whole Lorz Motorsports team were expecting a good time. Jordan went out and qualified 5th fastest out of 18 cars. He qualified in at 16.090, his fastest time all weekend. Jordan and the Lorz team were excited for the race to start knowing they had an excellent chance at winning the race. Jordan started from the 5th position. Disaster struck when Jordan was passing the 89 car of Trevor Dassow on the outside coming off of turn 2. The 89 car (Trevor Dassow) got loose and over corrected and smacked the 99 car in the left front and put him into the outside wall hard. Jordan was able to walk away on his own but is sore after the hard hit. It was a very disappointing end to the day for Jordan and the Lorz Motorsports team. The car was heavily damaged and was unable to continue. Check the site later for an updated schedule of when Jordan will be racing.
